FAQ

Have you ever thought of doing yoga?

Have you said to yourself?

At Bodyfix we deliver therapy to access the problem areas of the body through specifically designed yoga poses. These poses are tailored to your ability and they progress as the body gets stronger and more flexible. Our classes are 1 hour long and are open to anyone, male or female, beginners and those more advanced.

In our classes we do ask you to challenge yourselves, but we do not expect you do the impossible. There is no point in giving you something that is impossible for you to even attempt or to have no understanding as to why you need to do it.

Once you become strong and flexible enough to do a certain pose correctly, there is no point in doing it anymore. You simply progress and move on. Have no doubt about the amazing feelings that you will experience when you re-own a part of your body that you have become unattached from, in some cases, for many years.

How BodyFix Yoga works
Imagine taking a hard yoga pose and unravelling it to the point that you can start to approach it. As you progress, your ability to do the whole pose increases. The more access and ownership you have over your body, the better you become in mind, body and spirit.

Have no doubt this is powerful, life changing therapy

Is Yoga for weird people only?
No, yoga is NOT for weird people! Not at all!
We would say that it is more weird for a person to carry their pain and discomfort through life without doing anything about it; or take more drastic corrective measures before considering that it could be their lifestyle that is actually making them ill.

There are so many different forms of yoga, some of which have given the incorrect assumption that all yoga is the same. This view has lead to a very stereotypical image about yoga, which is, in many cases, misleading and false.
BodyFix Yoga offers straight forward, mainly mat based, yoga that is conducted for 1 hour and is finished off with a short shiatsu based massage. It is a therapeutic type of yoga.
Remember: yoga is a tool for life; it is there to enhance your lifestyle and help you engage more in the things that you enjoy doing most.

The human body has an amazing inbuilt ability to heal itself, if it can be only given a fair go.

So come join us and experience the freedom of a healthy body & mind!

Do I need yoga? / Yoga is not a male thing to do
Yes, what we do at BodyFix Yoga is for everyone, male and female, young and old! There are very few people in society today that would not benefit from this yoga in some way or other. Out of all the fitness regimes available, from jogging to aerobics, yoga has always been there and always will be.

For those doubting men out there, men have played a major part both in yoga and in Chinese medicine throughout history. Some of the strength that can be displayed in yoga is unquestionable. Strength comes from within and should be at the core. Non-core based strength, without flexibility, is a sure road to further health issues as your body ages. The image you look at on the outside does not necessarily reflect the same image on the inside.

Many women come to yoga classes because they are more in tune with their bodies, they are quicker to relate to the benefits that it has to offer and more likely to investigate and reveal the incorrect stereotypes that are attached to yoga.

Yoga is just stretching. It doesn’t help
Yoga is a science. It takes carefully directed work in specific areas to achieve the different outcomes in the body.
Our yoga style is more than just stretching: it is a real and powerful life changing experience! Ryoho style yoga has made a big difference to many people’s lives over many years.

Who is responsible for change in your health & life?
You are. Not a third party. There is no magic pill. Many doctors today recommend that people introduce yoga into their lifestyle. Our yoga style is the most honest form of exercise: it tells you what your body can and cannot do.
At Bodyfix Yoga you will challenge your body to tackle the issues that it avoids in every day life.
